John Maxwell Team: about Hans van der Veen

Leadership is the difference maker and the deal breaker. It’s how we grow organizations.  It’s how we impact lives. But, as you also know, leadership cannot be an idea we simply talk about; leadership is the action we must live out.

As a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker, I can offer you workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching, aiding your personal and professional growth through study and practical application of John’s proven leadership methods. Working together, I will move you and/or your team or organization in the desired direction to reach your goals.

After receiving my technical bachelor degree I made several career steps in consultancy; I became senior energy consultant and member of the management team of a small company. I served clients in both large industry and government and experienced that making a real difference in achieving project results depended on the leadership skills of my clients.

My personal interest grew from technical and process skills to personal skills. In the meantime I experienced that leadership could either ‘break or make’ people. My personal mission became to contribute to the development of healthy leadership: “healthy leadership makes people flourish”.

In 2002 I fully changed the direction of my career towards coaching and training. I never stopped learning; general management, personal skills, coaching skills and master classes. I provide businesses with tailor made training programmes involving leadership, communication and coaching. I provide coaching and executive coaching on a Senior Practitioner level (European Individual Accreditation (EIA).

I first came to know about John Maxwell while joining an Equip Leadership development program. I enjoyed being part of a great vision, the million leaders mandate. Several great lessons influenced my focus on leadership.

In 2011 my first book was published in the Netherlands: Meaningful Development – Leadership Without Hierarchy . In this book I combine a clear vision on leadership with a practical methodical way of co-creating results. With this content the reader can develop his or her leadership skills ‘on the job’.

Joining the Founding Member’s Circle of the John Maxwell Team is the next step in my career. A more international focus, exchange of knowledge, permanent education, expanding my repertoire with great teaching and teaming with people who share the passion of adding value to other people. I look forward to serve you on this next level!
